These houses are so well-appointed you may never leave. This year we rented a house for four nights over a long weekend, giving us plenty of time to hang out as a family, but also branch off and enjoy some adult time as well. The homes are all a little different, but with nice finishes, plenty of space and tons of unique touches. The vacation rentals in Reunion Resort are truly amazing. House is an understatement - you can snag a mini mansion with a couple other families for about what a few families would pay for rooms at a resort hotel. To solve these issues, for two years in a row we’ve loaded up the car with a couple other families and rented a house in Reunion Resort. And sometimes you just need to quickly microwave some chicken nuggets and a hotel room just won’t cut it. Packing up their stuff to take to a hotel pool can be a pain. We’re trying to avoid long drives when possible, and plane trips remain impractical for our family. Whether it’s a family vacation, a golf trip with the guys, or a girls’ trip, Reunion has something for everyone.Traveling with toddlers and accommodating their schedules can be more than a little daunting. In addition to golf, Reunion Resort amenities include a mini-golf course, multiple tennis and pickleball courts with a Pro Shop, casual and fine dining, 10 community pools, a five-acre waterpark, and 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. With spacious multi-room villas and luxury vacation homes featuring up to 13 bedrooms, this property is an easy option for golf trips. Reunion attracts avid golfers from around the world looking to experience an enhanced level of play with exceptional conditions and unique course layouts designed by three PGA legends. Open to resort guests and members, Reunion’s rolling greens stretch across the 2,300-acre resort, just minutes from Walt Disney World® and other famous Orlando attractions. “We’ve adjusted mowing frequency along with pest management and water conservation to improve daily course conditions.” “We’re managing all three courses as one,” said Scamehorn. Scamehorn joined Reunion’s team in the spring of 2020, and since then, he has worked with his team to transform Reunion’s courses into three of Florida’s best. “We’re concentrating our efforts down the center lines, while really working hard on perfecting the consistency in playing conditions,” stated Scamehorn. Director of Golf and Course Maintenance, Scott Scamehorn, has implemented a new approach to golf course maintenance and care, ensuring the courses are “tournament-ready” every day. Reunion Resort has been consistently recognized for providing a premier golf experience in Central Florida since 2005. Traditions is the ideal spot for your post-round meal and celebratory beverages. Inside the Nicklaus Clubhouse, you’ll find men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers, the Pro Shop, and a tavern-style restaurant called Traditions. At the end of the course, you can wave to your fans as they watch from the clubhouse veranda, which features panoramic views of the 18th green. This course provides long fairways and challenging water hazards. Located on the other side of the resort property and winding through parts of the nature reserve, the Nicklaus course can be a bit quieter and more scenic than Watson or Palmer. The most challenging of Reunion’s three courses is the Nicklaus course. Club selection is crucial for this course. Once on the course, you will encounter wide-open greens, rolling fairways, and strategically placed bunkers. The Clubhouse serves a traditional American breakfast and lunch and is a great spot for a cup of coffee before heading out to the driving range or your morning tee time. Both start just behind the Clubhouse restaurant and Pro Shop. The Watson course is adjacent to the Palmer course. The Palmer course offers 6,916 yards of rolling terrain with elevation changes up to 50 feet. You might recognize Palmer 7 by its vantage point of the long winding bridge over a sparkling pond with the resort’s Grande Tower standing elegantly in the distance. The Palmer 7 hole is the most iconic of all 36 holes at Reunion. You will play through bunkers, lush greenery, and some of our luxury rental homes. It’s the least challenging of the three, but it boasts the most spectacular views of the resort. If you find yourself at Reunion, and you can pick just one course, we recommend the Palmer course. Receiving accolades and awards from several golf publications, Reunion is the only place you will find three Signature Design courses by golf’s greatest legends: Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Arnold Palmer. Reunion Resort and Golf Club offers a golfing experience unlike any other in the world.
